Power 4 Home Review – A Complete Review of John Russel Power4Home

Insightful Power 4 Home Review

This blog post is dedicated to Power 4 Homes Review. For the last six months, there have been a lot of guides on the internet that will show you how to make your own home renewable energy system at minimal cost. Power 4 Homes is one such manual and I have decided to do a complete review on the guide.

The world experienced an energy shock back in mid 2008. We were having an energy crisis when crude oil prices hit a high of US150 per barrel.

Many car and home owners were finding it hard to cope with the rising energy cost. Many people are frantically searching for ways to reduce their household energy consumption. To meet the information demand, John Russel has written Power 4 Home e-book.

But first, who is John Russel?

John Russel is a electrician by profession. With years of experience in the electric related industry, he tried to create a system that would allow you to become energy independent with the minimum amount of equipment and investment. Power4Energy is John’s knowledge penned down in a book.

What is in Power4Home?

If you were to do your research, most home renewable energy systems cost thousands of dollars. But Power4Home is so revolutionary, because using the manual, you can build a DIY solar panel for under $200.

The homemade solar panel is capable of generating about 18 volt and approximately 75 watts of electricity. The energy output is enough to charge a 12 volt deep cycle battery.

With such low capital investment, you will recoup your money in relatively short period of time.

Power4Home manual covers 2 renewable energy options: a home windmill generator and a Do It Yourself (DIY) solar panel. You can choose which setup that suits your weather climate.

If you live in a sunny area you should install the residential solar panels. If you live in a less sunny place, the Power 4 Home windmill guide will do the job.

Power 4 Home Guarantees

Since Power 4 Home is offered under Clickbank, you are covered under their unconditioned 60 Days Money Back Guarantee. This is great because if you do not see any value in John Russel’s e-book, you can ask for a full refund within 60 days from the purchase date.

Power 4 Home Review Conclusion

I would also like to include a disclaimer in this Power 4 Home review. Just like in any home improvement project and if you are doing it via a Do It Yourself (DIY) approach, it will require a lot of your dedicated time and effort. Not to mention you also have to be good with hand tools and wiring works.

Most people would not have the time nor patience for such a DIY project. In this case, it would be a better idea to outsource the work to a professional renewable energy contractor.

As a home owner, you should be prudent. You want to get some basic knowledge on how a home solar or wind power system works. This is to safeguard yourselves. At least you will know when you are being charged for unnecessary parts or work done on your home.

If you are looking for such information, then John Russel’s Power 4 Home will do just fine.

The information regarding DIY power systems is widely avialble and there are thousands of people out there who will be glad to assist you with information at no cost.

Your fastest payback on a solar system is to install solar hot water heater. Hot water accounts for about 1/3 of your energy use, and such a system will pay for itself within 2-5 years. Longer times for commercially installed systems than for DIY systems.

I ordered and received the Power 4 Home e-book a couple months ago. I have studied and researched the contents and have found it to be a complete guide with all the information needed to make your own solar panels and wind turbines! I plan to build and install these home power units this spring.

I’ve done a lot of study into the Solar Power and Wind Generation end of things, I have a BSEE and over 40 years experience in the Engineering Design Field. Now as much as I would like to grin and say this is a wonderful idea I’m just gonna have to frown and say that to the best of my knowledge the equipment available to the common man today is not capable in any form at a price that could be considered reasonable by anyone who is your normal Do-It-Yourselfer. Not even as broken down waste and trash parts.

The Wind Generation has a faint chance of coming in at that price but only if you live in an area with a constant wind speed of about 10-12 mph or better. Not too many of us live in an area like that. When you get away from the propeller design that is being shown here and go to a Turbine design that doesn’t depend on constant wind direction and can use a lot less wind power you can drop the speed of the wind required considerably but in going to that design your price goes up accordingly. A wind turbine cost a lot more to build than a simple propeller system does.

I think this is a good idea but just not too practile as yet. Too bad. I would jump on it in a heart beat if I thought it had half a chance of working. I’m trying to build my own system, in the terms I’ve defined, but living in Florida a wind system isn’t much good unless you can get it down to operating efficiently at 2-3 mph constant wind and you are not going to have that all the time. The solar panel routine is just not efficient enough yet. We need to be able to turn the panels to face the sun continuously, to get peak efficiency from them, flexibility is needed because of the weather stress we have here and thin silicone sheets are not at all flexible. First good thunderstorm you have and they’re history. Cooling is a major factor that isn’t mentioned as these solar arrays generate a LOT of heat that has to be dissipated. There are several more factors but I think you have the picture by now….Also, check to see if your Utility Company will buy the extra electricity you generate? Most won’t and you have to dispose of it somehow…

Dear John Russell, I have read all up on your Solar Invention, and this was sent to me from a friend in the U.S. i am an aged Pensioner, and i live in Australia, so could you advise me please, and i know you said it can be made all up for around $200.00 and we can buy the materials at our Local Hardware Store, so my question is:

    1. Would this work down here in Australia, without any alterations having to be made, and being a Pensioner, would it be too hard for me to make it up ?

    2. What books of yours would i have to buy, just to get this Solar thing going, including the making of the Wind Propellor ?

    3. I hope this works, and is not some sort of a Scam just to take people’s money, because i am very interested in it to try and save as much money on my Power bill as i can, and possibly sell some back to the Power Company in Australia.

Your help would be appreciated, and as much information you can give me to comply with Australian conditions.

    Best Regards,

    David Stewart. Queensland. Australia.

Hi John, I loved your website: http://www.power4home.com. I have seen similar ones on the web. My website is in the planning stages, as we speak :-).

I have been trying to locate the guys who do these kind of websites. I received an email today from John Carlton offering an affiliate deal on some people who do ‘template type ‘web sites. Funds are tight at the moment [too long a story...] and I don’t want to waste my money if they don’t do web sites like yours.

Your web site is EXACTLY the kind of thing I want to have. I am in Alternative Health, so no competition for you :-)

I imagine it must be in template format as there are so many similar ones out there. I would so appreciate you passing me on the details of where I could get hold of the software.

A million thanks in advance and who knows, I might be able to recommend your power4home on my web sites – affiliate stuff is definitely high on my agenda]

    Hey Will,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! You’ve been a great source of info and insightful inspiration, very much un-like John Russel @ Power4Home. I ordered/Paid for his program on 12-06-09 and never received anything, not even any response to many requests for info on where his product was, because I had never received anything. All I ever got were “Automated messages from ClickBank”. I have noted your reference to John Russel’s Manual as a guide, which I cannot do, since I have never gotten one.

On the other hand, have been very welcome and greatly appreciated. Keep ‘em coming, friend.

I purchased the Power4Home complete kit, it was supposed to come with CD, books, etc. This was at the end of November. I immediately received an e-mail saying they were back ordered, but that I could expect it in another week. It’s now approaching the middle of January and I haven’t received my product, nor have I been able to get any explanation, help, reply, or even a big F-U from the Power4Home support people. I’d rather have the product than the refund, but at this point I’m not sure how to get either since I can’t get any response from them at all. Very disappointed. Julie Keeney, Fresno, Ca.

Thanks Will. I did finally receive the DVD from Power4Home & am checking it over. Looks interesting so far, as far as it goes, but I will need to print about 189 or so pages to have the so called e-books. That seems like a lot of paper & ink extra expense. Hopefully it will be worth it.

I have not read of anyone actually building this system. I did and I blew up two inverters. After the first one I checked my wiring to make sure it was right, and blew the secound. Now I find that they make, what is called grid tie converters, they work great but are expensive. If anyone out there has built this and has it pluged in please let me know. At the power 4 home web site you never see pluged in and working not even in the videos.

I too purchased the power4home system two weeks ago. Can anyone give me a status as to when or if I will receive the material? I would rather have the material than a refund but reading the comments it may be a very long time before I receive anything.

Charles, how long did it take you to finally receive the material? THanks.

If you’ve paid and didn’t get the manual from John Russel, you can ask Clickbank for a full refund. Don’t go back to the Power4Home main page. They don’t handle refund there.

Hello everyone , I too have ordered Power4homes(the pakage deal) & can’t get an answer back from support of when, where, how, or hey just take a number & we’ll CALL YOU!!!! atleast that would be something ! Gia good luck finding a number, I think its the old, WE got your money & we’ll get to you whenever…. I don’t think from everything I’ve been reading that Power4homes is a scam or dishonest, but they are really ticking me off with the no answer policy !! I noticed it did’t take 24 hours for my money to come out of my bank account. I ordered it the evening of 2 FEB 2010 , & it was out of my account at close of buisness next day… From what Charles wrote I’ve still have a good 2 or 3 WEEKS to go!!! Just saying, things that make you go Hmm!!! All the testomonials are suddenly pulled into question, did they have to go through this waiting game of ” am I ever going to see this material ?” I never expected this product to be the Bible & I’m sure there is much more to do to dial in how it will preform in any specific terrain. Its a DIY thing & Mr. Russel if your paying any attention to reveiws , Get up from behind your desk & go down to the mail room & kick a few buts in GEAR & MAIL IT OUT !!! I headup all the maintenence on a 780 acre, 1700 head, Dairy farm, & I am a retired Army Drill Instructor,,, Do you need some help in the Motivation Dept….? Will, if you have any inside tract to Mr. Russel ( other than that lame support dept.) please pass this along to Mr. Russel. I don’t like to be rude, but we had a saying in the Army ” if your Wrong say your Wrong” I can see I’m not the “one” who just fell through the cracks of the ordering, mailing, or whatever dept. This is an ongoing problem, This is not the only Reveiw page I’ve been to, & its the same thing on every reveiw page, your pisspot poor at getting your product out after the sale!!! If even a small portion of your product is a help I’ll glean what i need & chalk it up to the price of buisness. However not delivering & not having a simple phone number is weak at best ! SO COWBOY UP SON ! ! ! Michael Trotter Chehalis Wa.

I looked at this Power4Home thing a while back an thought it looked interesting as I was already wanting to try the getting green route. I didn’t have the immediate funds to purchase it then and forgot about it. I did find one called Earth4Energy when I did another search on solar power and after reading that (also in PDF) I decided tp purchase. I was pleased at all the info and succeeded in constructing my first solar panel. Well under $100 too because I had most of the things I needed in my shed. I purchased the solar cells from eBay (50@$52) and then the (tabbing kit with flux pen@$24). Now I don’t know about doing it in a day unless your real fast at soldering but in a week I have a panel that produces 26.8v (volts) X 3.6I (amps)= 96w (watts). That alone isn’t much at all and the average home would need about 48 of those to do much good in reducing any cost’s. The turbine which I am still constructing is only good for about 300 to 400 watts if the wind stays a constant 10mph. If you want to use one of the new grid-tie inverters on the market or found on eBay you have to at least match the wattage the inverter puts out with your systems wattage output. ex. 1000w system to 1000w inverter. Then unless your meter can even run backwards you have to purchase one from your power company. (Mine costs $500). Then if you want to tie to the grid you have to get an application from the power company and submit a proposed schematic as to how, where, and with what materials will be used to mount it. (Tip. You have to know this before you try and mount anything.) Then it must be approved and then inspected by an electrician, the power company, and a building inspector before and after you construct and mount it. Also you have to obtain a building permit in some areas to even start such a project! The biggest obstacle you will face is the fact that most power companies will not even let you attach anything homemade to there systems anyway. They are ALL in it together people! Unless you want to totally get off the grid and are willing to spend months even years to build your own system at probably still thousands of dollars then stick to just making things more efficient and turn some things off!!!

      Thanks for reading, Larry

I was interested in obtaining the books and trying to build my own devices, since I am handy and have done projects before that were ok–however, his web page has not been updated since Aug of 2009 and my efforts to phone, email and “chat” with anyone from his company has proven futile. Is his stuff still available or have the big guys shut him down?

I really dont want to spend my money through something like click bank and then find out that it is something that will never come and if it does come there is no one home if i need help –what does anyone know about this issue?

I ‘ve always been interested in getting off grid or at least reducing my electrical bill. I’d love to have the dilemma of getting a permit; at least that would mean I was close to getting off of our local electrical system.

I was especially interested to read Duke’s comments & he appears to have the professional qualifications to make intelligent choices regarding the installation of equipment (more expensive wind generators = higher rates of return) since I live east of Seattle, it’s doubtful that I could a go of it like someone in Florida. We do get wind here, but I doubt that I’d live long enough to see it pay off (maybe my kids would like a solar or wind turbine bequeathment). Anybody heard a response or comment to Dukes post??
